Within the baby room we adopt a fun and playful approach to learning and development. The children are allowed to choose from a variety of toys and resources to explore every day, including small world, role play, musical and electronic toys, soft play, construction, arts, craft
and a range of sensory equipment.
We follow the children's interests and link to EYFS. Every child has their own Learning Journey, a diary highlighting their time at Nursery which includes a record of development. This links in with daily planning and next steps.
Within the baby room, the children have opportunities to explore arts and craft, sensory and tactile play. They experiment with glue, paints, chalk, a range of drawing materials, messy play, sand, water, cereals, magic mud, cooking and much more. We recognise the importance for the children to learn through exploring and expressing themselves, helping them to develop a broad range of skills by accessing a variety of opportunities both indoors and out.
The Baby room has a large sleep area, which incorporates a quiet corner of soft toys and cushions for those not wanting to sleep but needing a little peace. This is accessed freely by the children as needed.
